Who Is She?

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

These “About Me”s can be so thought provoking to me… mainly because I’m still trying to figure out exactly who I am every single day. I believe that as human begins, we develop (or are supposed to, anyway) who we are with every day that The Lord makes.

Well, Processed with VSCO with c1 presetwhat I do know is that my name is Sharayne Douglas. I’m an immigrant of Jamaican decent, however born and semi-raised in Birmingham, England. After the age of 7, my mother, father and I moved to South Florida, where the majority of my growths took place. I am a recent 2016 Florida A&M University graduate who is pretty obsessed with beauty, music, inspirational messages and attempting to better myself. I love to love, eat and pray. Books, makeup and home decor are my kryptonites and I ultimately long to please my Lord and savior Jesus Christ with my every move

I’m an insomniac, the definition of an “extraverted-introvert”, and a lover of
ALL things black. I also know that I’ve been obsessed with blogs/vlogs, Pinterest and YouTube tutorials for as long as I can remember… lets say sometime around 2010. I’m pretty sure that if Merriam Dictionary had the word “clatchet“, the definition would go something like 1. classy-ratchet 2. a woman of a higher caliber who knows how to have fun, 3. VivaLaRayne.

I know that I’ve been blessed to experience twenty-two years of life on God’s good, green earth. Oh, and I know that I do not have this whole thing figured out, not remotely. I recently moved to the Los Angeles area to pursue my masters and everything I once knew about life has been altered and questioned. I’m growing each and every day and have finally decided to document it all and clear the universe inside of my head and my computer hard drive by creating this platform.

My blog is my way of expressing myself and my passions creatively and I figured I could hopefully help others with my words while doing so. As I share my experiences and interests with you all, I hope to inspire other like-minded woman during this journey of adulting by letting them know that it is okay to let the real you shine; whomever she may be.
